West Linn homes
Trent, who owns and runs Portland Christmas Lighting, has lit 115 West Linn homes, by his count of past clients in October 2026. He has hung holiday lights since 2014, starting at 11 with his dad’s lighting company, and West Linn also sits right next to Lake Oswego, at the heart of where we work.
Many West Linn homes sit on slopes, so their second-story rooflines face the street, with views over the Willamette. In neighborhoods like Hidden Springs and Rosemont Summit, for example, a lot of houses have long, unbroken eaves. Those lines look beautiful in warm white C9 bulbs, and the ladder work on a slope is also ours.
Yes, two ways: we wrap trunks and branches by hand, or hang snowflake spritzer lights from the branches. Because big firs and oaks line streets from Robinwood to Bolton, a large tree near the street often becomes the centerpiece of an Estate display. Where trees hide the house, we also design around what neighbors see.
Yes. Near Willamette Falls Drive, the older Willamette neighborhood has bungalows and cottages with porches close to the sidewalk. That is why porch columns wrapped in light and a clean roofline suit them well, and they read beautifully to everyone walking or driving by on a December evening.
All of them. Specifically, the City of West Linn recognizes 11 neighborhood associations, from Willamette and Bolton along the river to Hidden Springs, Rosemont Summit and Skyline Ridge up the hills, and our Christmas light installation service covers every one of them, in 97068. The city’s full list follows.
The 11, as the City of West Linn lists them: Barrington Heights, Hidden Creek Estates and Tanner Woods; Bolton; Hidden Springs; Marylhurst; Parker Crest; Robinwood; Rosemont Summit; Savanna Oaks; Skyline Ridge; Sunset; and Willamette. The lights come on at 4:30 pm and go off at 11 pm on the timer we install, 6.5 hours a night, and we also set other times on request. Sunset in West Linn is 4:30 pm on December 21, 2026, per the US Naval Observatory, so the house lights up right at dusk.
Installs run from October 1 into mid-December, and same-week installs are also available. Your install date then goes on your estimate next to one firm price, and that price holds for three seasons. Finally, in January we take everything down, label it for your home and store it until next season, as part of your price.

Four steps, and the only one that takes your time is the first, because we handle the rest.
Use the form, or call or text, because your address is all we need to price your home.
Then we text you a firm price the same day, with a mockup of your home lit.
A 50% deposit then holds your install date in writing, and the balance is due at install.
We then install, walk the lit house with you and text you a night photo. Finally, in January we take it all down and store it.
Classic, the front rooflines, starts at $999, and most homes start there. Signature, which adds the garage door, shrubs and walkway lights, starts at $1,799, while Estate, with the big trees wrapped, starts at $3,500. In addition, your price is one number in writing, held for three seasons, with takedown and storage included.
Yes. Hillside lots and second-story rooflines are common in West Linn, but the ladder work is ours. That is why we clip every strand to gutters and shingles with no nails or staples, design around the slope and the view from the street, and come back by the next evening if anything goes dark.
Yes, on the Estate package. We wrap the trunk and branches by hand, or hang snowflake spritzer lights from the branches, and a big tree near the street often becomes the centerpiece. So tell us which trees matter most when you send your address, and we price them into one firm number.
We do. In other words, the lights, clips, cords and timer are leased to you for the season. However, nothing renews on its own. Next fall we offer the same design at this year’s price for 2027 and 2028, so a home that books once knows what its next two seasons will cost.
Call or text Trent at (503) 714-5120, and then it is fixed by the next evening, all season. If ice or high wind makes the roof unsafe, we fix it the first evening it is safe. After all, repairs are part of your price, so a dark strand never costs extra, from install day until January.
Installs begin October 1 and run into mid-December, with same-week installs while dates last. Your install date is in writing on your estimate, and earlier requests also have more dates to choose from. A 50% deposit then holds the date, and the balance is due on install day.
Yes. In fact, we cover all 11 neighborhood associations the City of West Linn recognizes, from Willamette and Bolton by the river to Rosemont Summit and Skyline Ridge. Send your address with the form, or call or text (503) 714-5120, and then we text you a firm price the same day.
