A Christmas light lease means the installer owns the lights and you pay one price for the season. With Portland Christmas Lighting, that price covers your design, commercial-grade lights, installation, repairs all season, and January takedown and storage, for homes in Portland, Lake Oswego and West Linn, Oregon.

How the lease works
We own the lights. You enjoy them.
The lights, clips, cords and timer belong to us. You lease them for the season, from install day through the January takedown. If a section goes out, call or text Trent and we fix it by the next evening. Repairs are part of the price.
Every lease runs for one season, and nothing renews on its own. Next fall we offer you the same design at this year’s price, and again the fall after, so the price you sign this year holds for three seasons. You’re never obligated to say yes.

What is a Christmas light lease?
A Christmas light lease is a seasonal service where the installer owns the lights. You pay one price, and Portland Christmas Lighting designs your display, hangs commercial-grade lights with clips, fixes any outage by the next evening, then takes everything down in January and stores it. Most homes start at $999.
Do Christmas light installers provide the lights?
Many do, and we always do. The lights, clips, cords and timer are ours and are included in your price, so there is nothing to buy before your install. In January they come down and go into our storage, ready for your home next season.
Is it an annual contract?
It is an agreement for one season, and nothing renews on its own. Next fall we offer you the same design at the same price for the 2027 season, and again for 2028. You are never obligated to say yes, and if you say no, there is nothing to cancel.
Can I keep the lights?
No. The lights stay ours, which is why there is nothing for you to store, test or replace. Please do not take them down or move them yourself. If something needs changing during the season, call or text Trent.
How do I pay for the season?
A 50% deposit books your install date, in writing. The balance is due on install day, after we walk the lit display with you. You can cancel within three business days of signing for a full refund.
